The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is one of the most magical times of the year at Walt Disney World. While the festival is packed with international food booths, holiday storytellers, and the Candlelight Processional, there is one activity that holds a special place in the hearts of dessert lovers: the Holiday Cookie Stroll. If you’re on the hunt for disney world christmas snacks 2026, you’re in the right place.
How the Holiday Cookie Stroll Works
Before you start your sugar-fueled journey, you need a game plan.
- Grab a Festival Passport: These are free and available at the park entrance or any festival booth.
- Collect Stamps (epcot holiday passport stamps): The back page of the passport is dedicated to the Cookie Stroll. Each time you purchase a qualifying cookie, the Cast Member will give you a unique stamp.
- The Reward: Once you collect five stamps (they can be five different cookies or five of your favorite), head to the Holiday Sweets & Treats booth to redeem your “completer” prize.
Communicore Hall - The Gingerbread Hub
Our journey begins at the new Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow located inside Communicore Hall, home base for communicore hall holiday treats. This is a must-stop because it houses the stunning Gingerbread Spaceship Earth display (gingerbread spaceship earth 2026). Every 10 minutes, the gingerbread structure puts on a light show synced to holiday music.
1. Salted Caramel Spaceship Earth Cookie
This is the quintessential EPCOT cookie. It’s a standard sugar cookie shaped like the icon, but the “wow” factor comes from the salted caramel filling.
The Verdict: It has a great crunch and isn’t overly sweet. It’s an absolute must-get for the photos alone!
2. The Prototype Cookie (Orange & Dark Chocolate)
New to the festival this year, this is a crispier, more delicate cookie featuring an orange cranberry icing and a solid dark chocolate layer.
The Verdict: It’s a bit harder to break than the others, but the citrus notes pair perfectly with the rich dark chocolate.
3. Ginger Molasses Cookie with Cream Cheese Icing
This was an instant favorite. It’s thick, soft, and chewy—everything a Christmas cookie should be.
The Verdict: The cream cheese icing adds a decadent cupcake-like quality. If you only get one cookie in Communicore Hall, make it this one! Walking the World Showcase Leaving the hub, we headed toward the World Showcase. Here, the flavors become more international and traditional.
4. Cinnamon Spice Chocolate Crinkle (Noche Buena Cocina)
Found near the Imagination Pavilion, this cookie is huge. It has a light glazed icing and a very “cozy” cinnamon scent.
The Verdict: It’s the chewiest cookie so far. It tastes like something you’d want to enjoy with a hot cup of tea by the fireplace.
5. Coffee Mocha Cookie (Mele Kalikimaka)
This one is for the caffeine lovers. It’s topped with coffee-infused buttercream, cocoa nibs, and a chocolate-covered espresso bean.
The Verdict: Very distinct coffee flavor! It’s soft and chewy, with the espresso bean providing a nice textural contrast.
6. Maple Leaf Shortbread (Yukon Holiday Kitchen)
Heading into Canada, we found this beautiful shortbread with maple buttercream (maple leaf shortbread epcot canada).
The Verdict: This is a top-tier contender. It’s simple, buttery, and the maple cream melts in your mouth. It’s very similar to the famous maple cookies at Wilderness Lodge but slightly more subtle. The L’Chaim and American Table Traditions We continued our stroll between Morocco and France to hit the L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen, which features two distinct entries.
7. Raspberry Jam & Walnut Rugelach
This isn’t your typical cookie; it’s a flaky pastry filled with jam, walnuts, and cinnamon.
The Verdict: You get three in a portion, making it a great value. It’s “baklava-esque” but with a fruity finish.
8. Mickey-Shaped Almond Black and White Cookie
A classic New York-style cookie with a Disney twist.
The Verdict: It has a cakey consistency. It’s simple, soft, and the Mickey shape makes it one of the most Instagrammable treats of the day.
9. Snickers Bar & Salted Caramel Chocolate Cookie (American Holiday Table)
Another new entry for 2026. This is a chocolate base topped with actual Snickers pieces and a very sticky salted caramel.
The Verdict: Extremely sweet! The caramel is concentrated in the center, making it a very rich, shareable treat. The Home Stretch — Germany to The Land By this point, the sugar rush was in full effect, but we couldn’t skip the fan favorites.
10. Hazelnut Linzer Cookie (Bavaria Holiday Kitchen)
This is a Festival of the Holidays staple. It features a Mickey cutout, raspberry jam, and a heavy dusting of powdered sugar.
The Verdict: It’s buttery, jammy, and messy! Be careful if you’re wearing black—that powdered sugar goes everywhere, but it’s worth it.
11. Cranberry Oatmeal Cookie (Holiday Hearth Desserts)
Located inside The Odyssey, this thinner, crispier cookie uses cranberries instead of raisins.
The Verdict: A solid choice for those who don’t like overly “mushy” cookies. The vibe in The Odyssey is great, too, with Santa Goofy making appearances nearby.
12. Holiday Sugar Cookie (Connections Café)
We almost had a “cookie crisis” here as they sold out, but a fresh batch saved the day!
The Verdict: This is your classic, home-baked sugar cookie. It has a crunch on the outside but stays soft in the middle. Perfect for pairing with a Starbucks cappuccino.
13. Giant Peanut Butter Cookie (The Land Pavilion)
We ended on the “heavyweight champion.” This cookie is so thick it’s basically a mini-cake, topped with peanut butter icing and M&Ms (peanut butter cookie epcot the land).
The Verdict: This was Paul’s favorite. It is a peanut butter lover’s dream. It’s massive, soft, and incredibly filling.
The Reward: Completing the Stroll
After five hours and 13 cookies, we returned to Holiday Sweets & Treats with our stamped passports.
The 2026 Completer Prize: (epcot cookie stroll prize 2026) This year’s prize is a functional Epcot Holiday Cookie Stroll Spatula . It’s super cute, featuring the event logo on the front and—best of all—a recipe for Peanut Butter Cookies printed on the back! You also receive a small container of M&Ms to use as a topping for your home-baked creations.
Melissa's "Bestie" Tips for the Cookie Stroll
- Don’t Eat Them All at Once: We brought Ziploc bags! We sampled a bit of each and took the rest home.
- Pace Yourself: It took us about 5 hours to hit all 13 spots. Take breaks, grab a savory snack (like a turkey sandwich or poutine), and stay hydrated.
- Share the Joy: These cookies are large. Sharing them with a friend or “bestie” makes the stroll much more manageable (and less of a sugar crash).
- Check the Dates: The festival runs from November 28 to December 30. You don’t have to finish the stroll in one day! Your stamps are valid for the entire length of the festival.
