Hey Bestie! Heading to the 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts? There is a brand-new way to experience the magic: the Disney Lorcana Quest.
Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game activities run from January 16 to February 23, 2026. Both the Collection Quest and Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt are included with your regular EPCOT admission. The TCG is fully integrated into the festival. Look for in-park collectible activities and exclusive promo cards. You can even find special event-only cards and unique gameplay experiences.
The festival still showcases music, food, and visual art. However, this year adds a modern, tabletop-gaming twist. It perfectly blends card collecting with traditional artistic activities for a fresh EPCOT experience.
Whether you are a seasoned “Illumineer” or totally new to Lorcana, this experience is for you. It is the perfect way to explore the park and meet new friends. You can even start your very own card collection here.
Best of all? Most of the experience is completely free! Just keep in mind that Questbooks and free booster packs have daily limits. On busy days, they often run out by 1:00 PM.
Getting Started: The Festival Passport
The first thing you’ll want to do is grab your Festival of the Arts Passport. Inside, you’ll find the details for the Disney Lorcana Experiences. To officially begin your journey, head to the Quest Distribution Center located on the walkway just before you enter World Showcase. Guests can pick up a complimentary Festival Questbook on the bridge to World Showcase starting at 9:00 AM each day.
Pro-Tip: The Quest Books are free but available only while supplies last. I highly recommend heading there early in the day to secure yours!
The Three Pillars of the Lorcana Quest
There are three distinct ways to participate and earn special promo cards. Here is the breakdown of the cards you’re hunting for:
1. The Collection Quest (Donald Duck Card)
This is the most social part of the day! Your Quest Book will list four specific cards you need to find. Since everyone gets one of about 28 different Quest Books, the cards you need might be exactly what someone else is trying to trade away.
How to play: Open your starter booster pack and start trading with other guests. The Collection Quest allows guests to open booster packs and trade cards with others at the Illumineer’s Lounge in the Morocco Pavilion.
Trading Tip: Look at the symbol at the bottom of the card to determine its rarity. To keep things fair, try to trade cards with the same rarity symbol!
Redeem: Once you have your four cards, show them to a Cast Member at the Illumineers Lounge (Morocco) or Figment’s Inspiration Station (The Odyssey) to get your Donald Duck promo card. To complete the Collection Quest, guests must collect four specific cards to receive a limited-edition magical places promo card. The Collection Quest allows participants to trade cards and receive a Donald Duck – Pie Slinger promo card after completing their collection.
2. The Ink-and-Find Scavenger Hunt (Rapunzel Card)
If you love exploring Epcot’s pavilions, this is for you. The Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt involves finding ten oversized cards displayed throughout EPCOT as part of the scavenger hunt activity. You’ll use a map and a set of special ink stickers to find and mark the locations of these oversized cards on your map.
Locations: You’ll find oversized cards featuring characters like Ariel (outside the Seas with Nemo & Friends attraction), Mickey Mouse (Japan Pavilion), Mulan (China Pavilion), Rapunzel (Germany Pavilion), Belle (France Pavilion), Baymax (Test Track, part of the Archazia’s Island set), Tinker Bell (giant fairy character from a specific set, near the red telephone booth), Donald Duck (Showcase Plaza), Stitch (International Gateway, near France), and Moana (Funnel Cake Kiosk at The American Adventure).
How to play: Match the symbol on the display to your special ink sticker sheet and place it on your map.
Redeem: After completing your map (completed map), guests can redeem it at either the Illumineer’s Lounge or Figment’s Inspiration Station for a limited-edition Rapunzel – Appreciative Artist promo card.
3. Gift with Purchase Quest (Stitch Card)
For those looking to dive deep into the game, head to Disney Traders or the Morocco Pavilion.
The Goal: Purchase the Archazia’s Island Illumineer’s Trove ($49.99), which is the purchase item for this quest.
The Reward: You will receive an exclusive Stitch – Rock Star promo card with your purchase when buying specific Disney Lorcana merchandise.
The promo cards feature favorite Disney characters like Stitch, Rapunzel, and Donald Duck, and are special versions of existing Lorcana cards. These are magical places promo cards—exclusive limited-edition promo cards that can be earned through two activities at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts: the Collection Quest and the Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt.
Where to Hang Out: The Illumineers Lounge
Located in the former Restaurant Marrakesh at the Morocco Pavilion, the Illumineers Lounge is the “hub” for all things Lorcana and serves as a central hub for card trading and quest limitations. Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., it’s a beautifully themed space where you can:
Redeem your completed quests at either the Illumineer’s Lounge or Figment’s Inspiration Station.
Sit down and trade comfortably with other collectors.
Learn the basic rules of the game from experts.
Participate in activities like booster pack openings and collect limited-edition promo cards such as the Magical Places series.
Fueling Your Quest: A Stop in Japan
Searching for cards works up an appetite! While traversing World Showcase, I stopped at the Goshiki booth in Japan. The Japan Pavilion is located between The American Adventure and local kiosks, making it a convenient stop. If you need a snack break, I highly recommend:
The Wagyu Bun ($10.75): A soft, fluffy purple bun filled with savory-sweet American Wagyu beef. It was the highlight of my festival food tour!
Tokyo Kawaii Roll ($9.75): A colorful shrimp tempura roll that is as pretty as the Lorcana art.
Final Thoughts for Newbies
Don’t be intimidated if you don’t know the rules of the trading card game yet. The Lorcana community at Epcot is incredibly welcoming. During my quest, I had people gifting me cards and explaining the rarity scales. It’s a wonderful, social way to spend a “Disney Day.”
Beyond Lorcana activities, the festival also features the DISNEY ON BROADWAY concert series (broadway concert), Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, Animation Academy where guests can learn to draw Disney characters, chalk art galleries with artist-created chalk drawings, artful photo opportunities, and the opportunity to discover vibrant artwork. Guests can participate in the Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt during the festival.
