Where to Find Santa at Walt Disney World: The Ultimate Meet & Greet Guide

The Ultimate Guide to Finding Santa Claus at Walt Disney World

“Tis the season to be jolly!” and if you are heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth this November or December, there is one VIP you simply cannot miss. No, I’m not talking about Mickey Mouse (though he looks dapper in his scarf!)—I’m talking about Santa Claus.

The holiday season at Walt Disney World kicks off on November 13, 2025, and runs through early January 2026. Santa Claus will be making stops across all four Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs during the holiday season. You can find Santa Claus present at all four Disney theme parks, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet him wherever you go.

I’m Melissa, your Disney Bestie, and I am here to make your next Disney day a little lighter and a little brighter. Moving to Celebration, Florida, right in Disney’s backyard, has given me a front-row seat to the holiday magic, and today I’m sharing my personal journey to find every Santa across the parks and beyond. Whether you want a classic photo, a lesson in international folklore, or a beach-bound Santa, I’ve got you covered.

Walt Disney World Resort is decorated with thousands of twinkling lights and festive music during the holiday season, creating an enchanting atmosphere throughout the parks and resorts. Cast members play a key role in creating this festive environment and enhancing guest experiences, ensuring the holiday magic is felt everywhere you go.

1. Classic Santa Meet & Greets: Where to Find the Big Guy

If you are looking for that iconic photo—the red suit, the snowy beard, and the “Ho, Ho, Ho”—Disney has several prime locations.

Magic Kingdom: A Regal Greeting

In the Magic Kingdom, Santa usually sets up shop at the Liberty Square Gazebo or near Town Square during the day. If you are attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, he is the star of the show! You’ll see him waving from his towering sleigh at the finale of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: It’s a Red Carpet Christmas

At Hollywood Studios, Santa often takes a vacation at the It’s a Wonderful Shop or appears in the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade down Hollywood Boulevard. It’s the perfect spot if you want that old-Hollywood glamour mixed with holiday cheer.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: A Wild Holiday

Even the animals get in on the fun! You can spot Santa cruising down the Discovery River on a festive flotilla. It’s a unique way to see him, accompanied by upbeat holiday world music.

2. EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays: The “Global” Santas

One of my absolute favorite things to do is walk around the World Showcase during the International Festival of the Holidays. This is where you meet the “Storytellers.” These aren’t just Santas; they are representations of holiday legends from around the world.

Norway: Sigri and Barn Santa (Julenissen)

In Norway, you’ll meet Sigri, the holiday ambassador, and the mischievous Barn Santa (Julenissen).

“He lives in the haylofts of our barns. It’s not creepy—don’t make it creepy!”

Sigri explains that this little gnome is the guardian of the farm. He’s round, squishy, and loves a good bowl of porridge with a pat of butter!

France: Père Noël

In the France pavilion, you will find Père Noël. He is elegant and soulful, sharing stories of the “Watch Night” (Christmas Eve). One of the coolest facts he shares is that in France, if a child writes a letter to Santa and includes a return address, the French government pays the postage to send a reply!

United Kingdom: Father Christmas

Dressed in traditional green or deep red robes with a crown of holly, Father Christmas in the UK pavilion is a wealth of history. He’ll tell you about the very first Christmas card sent in 1843 and the ancient Druid traditions of the mistletoe.

  • Fun Fact: For every kiss under the mistletoe, you are supposed to pluck a berry. No more berries, no more kisses!

The American Adventure: Santa and Mrs. Claus

If you want the classic American experience, head to the pavilion at the back of the park. Here, you can meet both Santa and Mrs. Claus together. It’s a popular spot, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for set times.

3. Disney Springs: The Virtual Queue Strategy

If you aren’t visiting the parks, you can still find Santa at Disney Springs! He usually greets guests at Once Upon a Toy.

Pro-Tip: Because this is so popular, Disney often uses a Virtual Queue. You’ll need to join via the My Disney Experience app at 9:00 AM or 4:00 PM. This allows you to shop and eat some peppermint treats while you wait for your turn to see him.

4. Bonus Santa Experiences: Water Parks and Resorts

Did you know Santa likes to work on his tan? At Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, you can often find “Tropical Santa” wearing his summer holiday gear. It is one of the most unique photo ops in the entire resort.

Also, don’t forget to check the Deluxe Resorts. While Santa doesn’t stay at the hotels all day, he often makes surprise appearances on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day near the giant gingerbread houses (like the one at the Grand Floridian!).

Disney live entertainment is a big part of the holiday experience, with live shows, character meet-and-greets, and themed performances adding to the immersive and memorable holiday offerings throughout the parks and resorts.

My Personal Santa Memories

This year was extra special for me. Since moving from the Delaware area (shoutout to Rehoboth Beach and those amazing crab cakes!), seeing Santa at Disney felt like a “homecoming.”

During my meet and greets, I had some wonderful conversations:

  • The “Nice List” Request: I asked Santa for a little extra magic for my husband—specifically an invitation to Club 33! (Hey, a girl can dream, right?)

  • A Gift Forward: One of my favorite moments was “passing the gift forward.” If you’ve had a great year, tell Santa to give the next little bit of extra magic to the child in line behind you. It truly captures the spirit of the season.

  • The Cookie Clause: Santa reminded me—don’t forget the chocolate chip cookies on Christmas Eve!
